During the meeting, President of Paraguay Federico Franco and envoy Shah discussed various matters pertaining to cooperation between the two countries, both on international and bilateral fronts, particularly in their capacity as Landlocked Least Developed Countries. [break]
In the meeting, envoy Shah conveyed warm greetings of President Dr Ram Baran Yadav and Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai to President Franco.
Earlier in the morning, envoy Shah had also held bilateral talks with Antonio Rivas Palacios, Vice Foreign Minister of Paraguay. During the meeting, they had also discussed the possibility of bilateral cooperation of energy, agriculture and tourism.
On the occasion, the vice foreign minister also pledged his country’s support for Nepal’s candidacy at the ECOSOC on reciprocal basis.
