Electoral alliance in metropolis and sub-metropolises will be finalized by evening: Chairman Dahal

KATHMANDU, April 18: Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the parties within the ruling alliance will finalize the division of seats in metropolis and sub-metropolis by Monday evening.

KATHMANDU, April 18: Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the parties within the ruling alliance will finalize the division of seats in metropolis and sub-metropolis by Monday evening.



Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Chairman Dahal said that out of the six metropolises, the Nepali Congress (NC) has agreed to share three, while the other three metropolises have been agreed upon by the CPN (Maoist Center), the CPN (Unified Socialist) and the Janata Samajbadi Party.

"The distribution of seats for sub-metropolitan areas has also been finalized in the same model. That work will be completed by this evening," said Chairman Dahal.


Chairman Dahal said that if there is no consensus among all the parties in the alliance he would go along with the parties that have reached consensus. "Even if there is no agreement with anyone, we will fight alone. We have been preparing for this for three months," Dahal said. "There may not be consensus among all the five parties in the ruling alliance."
