KATHMANDU, April 28: The Election Commission of Nepal (ECN) has brought into operation the mobile app and call centers from today in a bid to inform voters about the upcoming local level elections to be held in two phases. 



The mobile app named 'ECN' and the toll free number-16600144222 was brought into operation to facilitate the voters to access information and to conduct voters' education. 



The call center is operated from the ECN's office at Kantipath where as many as six persons take calls from 8 am to 8 pm until June 17 and provide information on the upcoming election. 



One can get various types of election-related information like program, voter list details, polling stations and places, details of election candidates and vote results through the apps. 



On the occasion, inaugurating the center, Chief Election Commissioner Dr Ayodhee Prasad Yadav made it clear that the center has come into operation for addressing election-related queries. 



He also directed concerned government employees to pay a special attention to the operation of the center and the apps. 



Likewise, Chief of the Information Technology Division of the Commission and joint secretary Laxmi Prasad Yadav said election-related information dispatched through the apps would come in both Nepali and English. RSS
