Home Minister launches Nepal Immigration Mobile App

KATHMANDU, July 3: Home Minister Janardan Sharma launched a new app called Nepal Immigration Mobile App amidst a special function at the Department of Immigration on Monday.

KATHMANDU, July 3: Home Minister Janardan Sharma launched a new app called Nepal Immigration Mobile App amidst a special function at the Department of Immigration on Monday. 



The mobile app consists of all immigration related information at a single platform, where users can apply for various immigration services including visa applications and trekking permits. Besides providing the address details of various 29 Nepali embassies abroad to make it easy for the needy to seek assistance, the mobile app has also made arrangement to listen  to the grievances of the ordinary people. 



Speaking on the occasion, Minister Sharma expressed confidence that the mobile app would help the service seekers to easily access immigration services. Arguing that it was an important digital tool, Minister Sharma stressed on its proper use. 



Minister Sharma said he will take stringent action against those involved in unscrupulous activities in immigration offices at Tribhuvan  International Airport. "The information reaching my ears may be wrong as well. But if they are true, those involved should be ready to face music," he said.
