KATHMANDU, Oct 18: The Election Commission (EC) has sought clarification from Chhabilal Tiwari, principal of Bal Primary School in Parbat district, over an alleged violation of the election code of conduct.
The EC has demanded 24-hour clarification from Tiwari accusing him of publicizing for and against the political parties as well as candidates vying in the upcoming House of Representatives and provincial assembly elections.
Both elections are slated for November 20 this year.
The EC said Tiwari lobbied for votes for the candidates and political parties vying in the upcoming twin elections by posting and sharing contents in his Facebook page against the election code of conduct.
