EC seeks clarification for using t-shirt with poll candidate image in election campaign

KATHMANDU, Oct 18: The Election Commission (EC) has sought a clarification from a candidate of Rastriya Swatantra Party for the election of the House of Representatives (HoR), Pukar Bam, over the use of t-shirt with his image by himself and his supporters in the course of election campaign.

"What is the basis for the guarantee that there is no violation of election code of conduct while you and your supporters use the t-shirt with your name printed on it during election campaigning?," EC asked in the letter. 

The EC has directed him to furnish a written clarification within 24 hours.
