Organizers have divided the conference into four different sessions. The first session will feature talks on infrastructure for e-democracy and emerging technologies. The second session will delve into security of e-democracy channel, while the third session will discuss e-participation. On the final day, a panel discussion will be held on e-Parliament and citizen journalism.
Keynote speaker of the conference, Rohan Samarajiva, who is also the CEO of LIRNEasia, a regional ICT policy and regulation think tank, said the most critical element of e-governance was the backend.

Talking to Republica, he further said the other critical step was easing the access of government information to the public so that mobile application developers can make citizen friendly apps.
According to organizers, another international expert, Professor DA Patel of Pune University, will present a paper on the role of ICT in administrative works.
Other experts like Danish Arsad of EC Council Malaysia, Evan Lim from the Asia Journalist Association and Voice Bangladesh CEO Ahmed Swapan Mahamood and a number of high-ranking Nepali government officials will also participate in the conference.
Aryal said deliberations made by international experts could help the government in framing policies on e-governance at the local level.
The conference is being organized on the sidelines of mega ICT fair Midas CAN Info-Tech 2013. The six-day ICT fair is starting on Wednesday at Bhrikutimandap in the capital.
