DRI summons four firms suspected of being involved in revenue leakage

KATHMANDU, Dec 26: The Department of Revenue Investigation (DRI) has asked the representatives of four firms to be present at the department on suspicion of being involved in revenue leakage.

KATHMANDU, Dec 26: The Department of Revenue Investigation (DRI) has asked the representatives of four firms to be present at the department on suspicion of being involved in revenue leakage.


Issuing a public notice, the DRI has asked Basuki Nirman and Trishakti Traders based in Lalitpur and Niraj Trade Concern and Pashupati Trade Concern of Kathmandu district to be present at the DRI office within seven days. The tax investigation authority has warned that it would be compelled to take further action if the firms concerned failed to obey the DRI’s order.

Currently, the DRI has been scanning 1,500 firms in relation to their possible involvement in evasion of income tax and value added tax.
