KATHMANDU, April 2: Police have arrested 18 more individuals for their involvement in arson, vandalism, anti-state crimes, and violence in the Tinkune area.

According to police, the pro-monarchy protest held last Friday in Tinkune was organized with prior approval under the coordination of Nabaraj Subedi and the leadership of Durga Prasai. However, police claim that the organizers themselves incited the protesters.

The demonstrators attempted to move toward a restricted area from Tinkune and attacked police with stones. Additionally, they reportedly used vehicles to harm security personnel with the intent to kill and assaulted them with stones, sticks, iron rods, and improvised weapons.
