KATHMANDU, Aug 7: Senior orthopedic surgeon Dr Govinda KC has warned of fresh stir against any deception in the Medical Education Bill. Dr KC who had ended his hunger strike after signing a nine-point agreement with the government on July 26, 27 days after he resorted to his 15th fast-unto-death, believed that the government will implement the 9-point agreement.

He was optimistic that the parliament will endorse the Medical Education Bill without any further delay. While speaking at the press meet on Tuesday in TU Teaching Hospital, before getting discharged from hospital after 13 days, Dr KC said that his protest was for reforms in medical education and health sector by providing proper and quality health service to the poor people and to ensure the medical education for the need and qualified students and easy access to the other medical subjects.
He urged the government to endorse the deal through the cabinet meeting.
