Don't disrupt basic services: Groups to Maoists

KATHMANDU, Nov 9: Human rights organizations have called on the Maoists not to disrupt movement of ambulances, funeral vehicles, school buses, and transportation of basic medical equipment including oxygen cylinders.



A meeting of Human Rights Monitoring Network, held in the presence of the representatives from National Human Rights organization and OHCHR-Nepal, also decided to call on the Maoists not to use children during their protest.



The Maoists are scheduled to blockade the Kathmandu Valley as part of their protest demanding “civilian supremacy”.
