Delivered medicines to people's homes after seeking loans at high interest rates: Metmani Chaudhary

DANG, Nov 7: Urban Development Minister Metmani Chaudhary has said that despite seeking loans at high interest during the calamity, medicines were delivered to people's homes.


Speaking at the Mangsir 4 Mahasangram program organized by Prime Television in Lamahi on Sunday, Minister Chaudhary said, “During the COVID-19 pandemic, I went to the houses of poor people with a team of doctors and medicines. For this, I took loans at high interest rates.” Minister Chaudhary said, “I went with rice to not let the people die of hunger. I also got infected in the second phase of the COVID-19 wave. However, I spent day and night in the service of the people. I have become the charioteer of the people in every calamity including flood, landslide and fire.”

Similarly, Chaudhary reminded that since he became an MP for the first time, he has managed the budget in many projects, from construction of school buildings and hospitals, border security to irrigation. Stating that he became a member of parliament and a minister by the votes of the people of Deukhuri, he mentioned that education, health, agriculture, tourism and infrastructure construction are his first priorities.


Minister Chaudhary has also expressed his commitment to start plans like Rapti Corridor, road expansion to Swargadwari and Kevalkar operation, pod way operation, study and expansion of the tunnel route from Masot to Babai.
