Death of five of a family in Lalitpur: Doctors guess lack of oxygen as death cause

KATHMANDU, March 7: Five people from the same family died in Lalitpur on Monday. A team of doctors has estimated that the victim might have died due to the lack of oxygen while sleeping in a tin-roofed house in Nallu of Konjyosom Rural Municipality-4, Lalitpur.

KATHMANDU, March 7: Five people from the same family died in Lalitpur on Monday. A team of doctors has estimated that the victim might have died due to the lack of oxygen while sleeping in a tin-roofed house in Nallu of Konjyosom Rural Municipality-4, Lalitpur.

The deceased have been identified as Kaili Syangtan, 55, Sushma, 33, Ashish, 9, Ashma, 7, and a two-day-old baby, according to Metropolitan Police Range, Jawalakhel Spokesperson Siddhi Bikram Shah. 


According to police, four people died inside the house and one died during treatment. Shubha Tamang, 22, who is in critical condition, is undergoing treatment at Patan Hospital in Lalitpur.
