JANAKPURDHAM, September 13: The body of a woman aged around 26 years was found in a bamboo bush in Sahidnagar Municipality-3 Yadukuha of Dhanusa.
Local residents informed the police after seeing a dead body in a bamboo bush on the edge of an irrigation canal on Tuesday morning.
The deceased woman belongs to Sahid Nagar MunicipalityBod-3 Yadukuha Bazar area. Preliminary investigation has shown that the woman could have been murdered after rape. Police personnel who arrived at the incident site said the woman's body was lying half-naked on the ground.
Woman found dead in Dhanusha wheatfield
According to the police, the police have cordoned off the site where the body was found. A police team led by Dhanusha Police Chief Basant Rajaure has reached the incident site with a trained dog. After sniffing the corpse, the dog went to the village. The police are searching for those involved in the incident with the help of dogs.
A fair was held on the occasion of Indra Puja in the market village of Yadukuha. The deceased woman had left home to watch the fair between 6 and 7 PM on that day. The deceased's mother-in-law said, “We went to the fair to look for my daughter-in-law after she did not return home until late. But when we did not find her there. We returned home after the dance performance in the fair was over. But we received the news of her death early in the morning.”
A fair was held at Yadukuha on the occasion of Indra Puja. A dance program was held last night at a school located some distance from the deceased's house. Locals said that she might have been raped and murdered subesequently.
The deceased woman has a 3-year-old daughter and her husband went abroad for work four years ago.
