Day two concludes with more expectations

KATHMANDU, July 12: After two successful days of counseling students and giving them direct access to information regarding colleges in Nepal and abroad, the British College Nagarik Edu Fair ’13 held at Bhrikuti Mandap will conclude today.



A total of 153 educational institutions and consultancies have participated in the fair which has managed to bring in many colleges from Nepal, India, Australia, and Poland offering courses in engineering, medicine, IT, hospitality and management at the same venue.



“The response so far is good. We at Sharada University already have a Nepali student population of 350 to 400 and we are looking to recruit more students through this fair,” said Bipin Ghimire, representative of Sharada University. A multidisciplinary educational institution, the University is offering on-the spot admissions to students at the expo.



Another exhibitor, Hub International Education Pvt Ltd, gives visitors free counseling and other special offers at the fair. “I’m happy with the response from the visitors in the first day but I’m hoping for more,” shared Udhav Khadka, the Managing Director for Hub International. According to Khadka, a maximum of visitors to the Hub International stall came inquiring about studying in India and Australia.



Apart from direct conversations with educational institutions and consultancies, the fair has also Internet schemes and a free headphone worth Rs 3,000 on the purchase of a Micromax mobile phone.
