BANKE, May 11: The District Administration Office (DAO) of Banke has directed the Nepalgunj Civil Aviation Office to take action against Tara Air. The local administration has ordered the authority to take action against the airline after one of its planes took off leaving the passengers ahead of the regular flight time.

According to Chief District Officer Surya Bahadur Khatri, Govind Mahat of Chandannath Municipality-7, Jumla had lodged a complaint at the District Administration Office alleging that the plane left the passengers ahead of time without any information. The plane that was scheduled to leave Nepalgunj for Jumla at 1PM on Tuesday, took off at 11:55, Mahat said. "The flight took off without any information leaving many passengers stranded," He said that the airline had provided him with tickets for another flight to Jumla Wednesday.

As shared by station manager Dilip Karki of Tara Air Nepagunj, the plane took off ahead of its time due to bad weather. “We handed over the boarding pass to the passenger, after which he went out. We also searched for him but could not find him on time. The flight could not be stopped because of him,” Karki said. He said that it was not the intention of the airline to fly ahead of schedule and that the Nepalgunj Civil Aviation Authority has also inquired about the matter.
