KATHMANDU, June 4: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal has directed stakeholders to adjust the prices of aviation fuel. He took the initiative to reduce the price of aviation fuel in a discussion with officials of the bodies concerned on Thursday.
Stating that the price of aviation fuel has gone up in recent days, Minister Dhakal has requested the government bodies concerned to adjust the price. He also directed the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) to assist in land management to increase the storage capacity of the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) as the demand will increase when the price of fuel is reduced.

Airlines have been hit hard by the lack of timely adjustment of aviation fuel. Various organizations have been demanding a reduction in the prices of aviation fuel used by international airlines.
Minister Dhakal has directed to reduce the price of aviation fuel after holding discussions with Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism Yadav Prasad Koirala, Secretary at the Ministry of Industry Dinesh Bhattarai, Managing Director of NOC Surendra Kumar Poudel, Director General of CAAN Rajan Pokhrel and Managing Director of Nepal Airlines Dim Prakash Poudel.
