Dang shut down in favor Hindu State

DANG, July 31: Pro-Hindu activists have shut down Dang district demanding to declare Nepal as a Hindu State in the new constitution on Friday.

Swadharma Sanskriti Abhiyan, a joint force of 14 organizations advocating for Hindu State, has shut down Dang today. Market places, schools, factories and transportation have remained closed due to banda, crippling normal life of people in the district.


Since early morning the demonstrators have taken to the streets shouting slogans in favor of Hindu State.

The banda which started from 6 am will remain effective till 5 pm today, said activities.
