Dandi-Biyo national tournament starts

KATHMANDU, June 6: The first national tournament of the traditional game Dandi-Biyo started in the capital on Saturday. Thirty-three sports association are participating in the tournament, which is being held by the Nepal Dandi-Biyo Association.



In this tournament, which is being sponsored by the Nepal CRS company, the winning team will receive Rs 20,000.



In the opening match of the tournament, after Sports Council member secretary Jivanram Shrestha inaugurated the tournament at Dasharath Stadium, Nepal Japan Karate Do Gojurio Association defeated Nepal Dart Association by 12 points. Gojurio scored 145 points while Nepal Dart association managed to only score 133 points.
