KATHMANDU, June 3: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday plunged by 35.73 points to close at 2,658.93 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,695.84 points and inched up around four points in the first one minute. The index went to a gradual decline in the remaining trading hours while it hit the day’s low at 2,657.4 points in the last two minutes before the market closed for the day.

All the 13 groups were losers. Hotels and tourism index declined 147.44 points, followed by life insurance and non-life insurance with 98.87 points and 85.09 points respectively.
The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, lost 7.06 points. The daily turnover amount plummeted to Rs 6.67 billion from Rs 9.22 billion.
Among the individual companies, 34 were gainers while 214 were the losers. Radhi Bidyut Company had the biggest turnover of its shares worth Rs 601.50 million.
Saptakoshi Development Bank declined by the largest of 4.38 points. Pure Energy Limited was recorded as the topmost gainer.
