KATHMANDU, Nov 10: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Monday slid 4.15 points to close at 2,561.94 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,566.09 points and surged to the day’s high at 2,576.85 points in the first 38 minutes. In the next moment, the index went into a sharp decline and reached the day’s low at 2,544.17 points in the last 55 minutes. The market recovered around 17 points in the remaining period before the market closed for the day.

Hotels and tourism gained the highest of 101.98 points, while the other three groups including trading, hydropower and investment were also successful in adding to their indices.
The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, decreased 1.05 points. The daily turnover increased nominally to Rs 4.51 billion from Rs 4.90 billion.
Among the individual companies, 91 were gainers while 151 were recorded as losers. NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 488.88 million.
Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was the topmost loser. Daramkhola Hydro Energy Limited had its market price increased by the highest of 9.99 percent.
