KATHMANDU, Nov 17: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Monday increased marginally by 9.78 points to close at 2,550.36 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,540.57 points and dropped to the day’s low at 2,535.92 points in the first 18 minutes. In the next moment, the index went to an upward swing and reached as high as 2,555.11 points in the next two and a half hours. The market shed around five points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

Two groups including ‘others’ and non-life insurance lost 11.54 points and 10.04 points, respectively. Of the 11 gainers, life insurance escalated by the largest of 81.64 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies inclined 1.43 points. The daily increased to Rs 3.94 billion from Rs 3.89 billion.
Among the individual companies, 167 were gainers while 76 were recorded as losers. Sahas Urja Limited had the largest turnover of Rs 180.03 million.
Bandipur Cablecar and Tourism Limited was the topmost gainer. Bhugol Energy Development Company Limited witnessed the highest fall of 9.99 percent of its market price.
