A meeting of the Candidacy Selection Committee of the party held at Dahal´s personal residence in Lazimpat on Sunday decided to this effect.[break]
“It has been decided that Chairman Dahal will contest elections from Kathmandu and Siraha districts", said a leader who participated in the meeting. Dahal chose to Siraha instead of Dhanush despite it had earlier been reported that he would contest elections either from Dhanush-1 or 6.
Similarly, senior leader Baburam Bhattarai would contest the elections form Gorkha-1 and Rupandehi-4.
Likewise, Posta Bahadur Bogati would contest from Nuwakot-3. However, Narayan Kaji Shrestha´s constituency is yet to be finalized. It is learnt that he would contest the elections either from Makwanpur-2 or Bara-6.
