Dahal, Socialist party chair discuss on poll issues

KATHMANDU, Aug 3: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Chairman of Federal Socialist Party Ashok Rai had a meeting on Saturday.



During the meeting that took place at Dahal´s residence, Lazimpat, matters relating to the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) election were discussed. [break]



The UCPN (Maoist) Chairman was learnt to have urged Rai to take part in the second CA election announced for November 19. In response, Rai said his party has no problem to join the election, but argued for increasing proportional and inclusive representation in the new CA, according to Dahal´s aide Shiba Khakurel.



Leader Dahal who is also the coordinator of High-Level Political Committee said the election was the best way to resolve the political and constitutional crisis in the country and urged Rai to participate in the election.
