On the occasion, Dahal familiarized Regmi about the talks held with fringe parties to declare the date for the election to the Constituent Assembly (CA), said Dahal´s aide Shiva Khakurel. [break]
Dahal said that probably the consensus would be forged on all the disputed issues related to election in a meeting of the high-level political mechanism scheduled for today.
Similarly, Chairman Regmi drew the attention of Dahal to reach to a conclusion soon, said Khakurel.
Meanwhile, Ambassador of the United States of America to Nepal, Peter Bodde, called on UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, at the latter´s residence at Lazimpat.
On the occasion, Ambassador Bodde enquired about the ongoing initiatives to finalize the disputed issues related to CA election.
Stating that there was no alternative to going for election, Dahal said that the major political parties including UCPN (Maoist) have been trying their best to declare the date of CA election on consensus of all political parties.
