Current govt was formed to commit corruption: leader Shrestha

Senior Deputy Chairman of the main opposition party CPN (Maoist Center) Narayan Kaji Shrestha, has claimed that the current coalition government was formed to commit corruption.

KATHMANDU, Dec 28: Senior Deputy Chairman of the main opposition party CPN (Maoist Center) Narayan Kaji Shrestha, has claimed that the current coalition government was formed to commit corruption.


Addressing the fifth conference of the Maoist Center’s Kathmandu-Solukhumbu Coordination Committee held in Kathmandu on Saturday, leader Shrestha claimed that the current ruling coalition was formed with the explicit goal of promoting corruption.

“Individuals that were suffering by their inability to commit corruption formed the current coalition government explicitly to commit corruption,” leader Shrestha said, “This has always been clear.”


Former Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha claimed that the last government formed under the leadership of the Maoist Centre did a great job in fighting corruption. “That is why the people supported the Maoists in the last local level by-elections,” leader Shrestha said.
