Dhanteras is celebrated on Kartik Krishna Trayodashi, marking the beginning of the five-day Tihar festivities. It is a tradition to purchase new utensils made of gold, silver, copper, and other materials, symbolizing wealth and prosperity. Shoppers flock to the vibrant markets, filling the streets with excitement as they prepare for the celebrations ahead.
