KATHMANDU, April 25: The CPN (Unified Socialist) has finalized the names of the four deputy chiefs of the metropolis, including the mayor of Pokhara metropolis.
A meeting of the party's Central Secretariat chaired by party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal on Monday recommended the names of the chief and deputy chief candidates of the metropolis and sub-metropolis as per the decision of the coalition. The party has decided to nominate Dhanraj Acharya as the candidate for the mayor of Pokhara Metropolitan City.

Similarly, the party has decided to nominate Meena Lama as the Mayor of Hetauda sub-metropolis, Rameshwar Shrestha as the Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu metropolis, Keshav Kumar Bista as the Deputy Mayor of Itahari sub-metropolis, Chin Bahadur Gurung as the Deputy Mayor of Butwal sub-metropolis and Jog Bahadur Rana Magar as the Deputy Mayor of Tulsipur sub-metropolis, according to General Secretary of CPN (Unified Socialist) Beduram Bhusal.
The party has decided to field candidates as per the agreement in the places where there is a consensus for coordination among the ruling coalition and to field candidates in all the places where there is no coordination. Candidates for the posts of Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Ward Chairperson and members for the local-level election, 2022, can register their candidacies till 5 pm today, according to the Election Commission (EC).
