Dhakal, who was admitted at the hospital after complaints of pneumonia, was diagnosed with swine flu.
The doctor attending Dhakal had referred him to the Delhi-based Apollo Hospital for further treatment.
He was earlier scheduled to be flown to Delhi for treatment in an air ambulance but due to bad weather it wasn't possible.

According to UML leader Yogesh Bhattarai, Dhakal’s body will be kept at the UML headquarters in Balkhu for condolence on Monday and will be later cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat.
