KATHMANDU, June 21: Israeli Ambassador to Nepal Hanan Goder paid a courtesy visit to lawmaker and Chairman of Nepal Family Party Ek Nath Dhakal. The meeting held at MP Dhakal's secretariat focused on exploring and enhancing the multifaceted relations between the two friendly nations.
During the meeting, Dhakal warmly acknowledged Israel's consistent contributions to Nepal's growth and development since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1960. In particular, he praised Israel's valuable support in areas such as agriculture, education, technology, and water resources. He also took the opportunity to request Ambassador Goder's assistance in further developing Nepal's tourism sector.

Additionally, Dhakal urged the Israeli government to pay close attention to the welfare and well-being of Nepali citizens residing in Israel. Recognizing the importance of parliamentary exchanges, he emphasized the need for vibrant interactions between the legislators of Nepal and Israel.
In response, Ambassador Goder expressed his satisfaction with the existing bilateral relations between Nepal and Israel. He stressed the importance of further strengthening these ties and exploring opportunities for multilateral collaboration. Ambassador Goder offered valuable suggestions to the Nepalese government, proposing the creation of a tourism-friendly environment to encourage the expansion and growth of Nepal's tourism industry.
Dhakal is a member of the International Relations and Tourism Committee of the House of Representatives. “As Nepal and Israel continue to deepen their bonds and explore avenues for collaboration, the meeting between Ambassador Hanan and MP Dhakal signifies a significant step towards strengthening bilateral relations and fostering mutual understanding between the two nations,” Dhakal’s Secretariat said in a statement.
