CPN-Maoist controls a dozen vehicles in Gulmi

GULMI, Sept 16: The CPN-Maoist has taken control of more than a dozen vehicles from different places of the district saying that the public continued transportation disobeying the banda called by the party.



The party had called banda across the Western Region for Monday. CPN-Maoist cadres have taken control three trucks, a tractor and five motorbikes from Rupakot. [break]



According to CPN-M’s Gulmi District In-charge Birbahadur Karki, they took control of ten motorbikes from Bamitaksaar, two trucks from Baletaksar and a motorbike from Arkhale. The party called off banda after 5 pm this evening. He said that the party would return vehicles later.



During banda, schools, local shops, government offices and public transportation remained shut throughout the day.
