KATHMANDU, July 11: The CPN (Maoist Center) on Tuesday decided to withdraw its support to the KP Sharma Oli-led government.
“As the leader of the Parliamentary Party of CPN (Maoist Center), Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has withdrawn the party’s support to the current government,” said a leader of the party, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi.
A meeting of the CPN (Maoist Center) Headquarters held yesterday had authorized Dahal to take the decision on whether to continue supporting the current government.
In a letter submitted to Prime Minister Oli, Dahal has said that as the current government has shown no interest to implement the 9-point deal signed between CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) and the 3-point gentlemen’s agreement reached between Dahal and Oli, the support to the current government has been withdrawn.
With the decision, the party has also recalled the ministers representing the party in the current government.
