CPC Politburo Member Yuan Jiajun arrives in Kathmandu for three-day visit

KATHMANDU, July 23: Yuan Jiajun, a politburo member of the Communist Party of China (CPC), arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday. He arrived in Nepal after completing his visit to Sri Lanka.

KATHMANDU, July 23: Yuan Jiajun, a politburo member of the Communist Party of China (CPC), arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday. He arrived in Nepal after completing his visit to Sri Lanka.


The Chinese leader was welcomed by Dev Gurung, general secretary of the CPN (Maoist Center), and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song.

Yuan, who is a high-level leader of the CPC, is scheduled to meet the top leaders of Nepal during his three-day stay in Kathmandu.


Yuan, however, will not meet with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal who is currently in Italy. Sources say Dahal’s China visit will be discussed during Yuan’s visit.
