KATHMANDU, Feb 9: As many 98.6 percent of the total confirmed COVID-19 patients have so far recovered from the viral disease.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 268,431 of the 272,215 patients who were diagnosed with the viral disease that originated in Nepal’s northern neighbor China in December, 2019. Nepal first reported the infection on January 23 last year.

As many as 2,047 people, however, have succumbed to the disease since the first fatality was reported on May 16, 2019.
