96.4 percent COVID-19 patients recover in Nepal

KATHMANDU, Dec 24: As many as 247,400 COVID-19 patients have won their battles against the COVID-19 pandemic in Nepal, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).  This accounts for 96.4 percent of the total confirmed cases ---256,592--- as of Thursday afternoon.

KATHMANDU, Dec 24: As many as 247,400 COVID-19 patients have won their battles against the COVID-19 pandemic in Nepal, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).  This accounts for 96.4 percent of the total confirmed cases ---256,592--- as of Thursday afternoon. 


The country reported 739 recoveries while it confirmed 613 new infections in the past 24 hours, according to the daily COVID-19 bulletin provided by the ministry.

A total of 1,808 patients have so far succumbed to the  lethal virus including five on Thursday. 


The Kathmandu  Valley where lies the country’s federal capital city, added 444 new cases of the disease. With this, the total cases detected in the capital has jumped to 119,349.
