KATHMANDU, Dec 12: The Kathmandu District Court has ordered the release of medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai on bail.
A single bench of Judge Bishnu Prasad Awasthi at the Kathmandu District Court ordered his release on bail of Rs 40,000.

Prasai is also under investigation for organized crime and criminal profiteering.
Although the Kathmandu District Court has granted bail, Prasai will not be released immediately. While the court has ordered his release on charges of criminal profiteering, he remains under investigation for organized crime.
