The court team arrested him from the Supreme Court premises when he was trying to file an application requesting review on his verdict. The lower courts -- Kathmandu District Court and the Patan Appellate Court -- have already found him guilty of the crime.
“Our team arrested him as he failed to pay fine as per the court´s verdict,” Kathmandu district court officer Chitra Bahadur KC told myrepublica.com. Sherpa has been detained at Dillibazar prison.
The court said that it has expedited its drive to arrest those who have convicted of different crime but are at large. Available data shows that the number of such people is around 300. As of Monday, the investigation team has arrested five such people.
