Controversy in Dhanusha and Saptari after provincial assemblies’ ballot papers given instead of HoR ballot paper

DHANUSHA, November 20: Voting came to a halt at the 'B' center of the Kamala Municipality-6 Billet Bauku Mavi Madan polling station in Dhanusa.


Voting was halted from 9 AM when the polling officer found that the direct ballot papers of the House of Representatives (HoR) were given to the voters instead of the direct ballot papers of the provincial assemblies. At that time, 70 votes had already been cast.

An all-party meeting is currently being held to resume voting.


Similarly, polling was stopped for almost one and a half hours after it was found that ballot papers for the provincial assemblies were given instead of the ballot papers for the HoR at the Swasthya Chowki polling center 'A' located in Rajbiraj Municipality-11 of Saptari Constituency 2. At that time, 39 people had already voted. After all-party consensus, those 39 people were allowed to vote again.
