KATHMANDU, Jan 5: Ratna Pustakalaya, a library situated in Mid-Baneshower in the Capital, organized a condolence assembly on Thursday morning on the eighth day of the demise of noted Nepali litterateur Kamal Mani Dixit*.
The attendees, including the Vice-Chancellor of Nepal Academy Dr Bishnu Bibhu Ghimire, offered condolences to Dixit who passed away at the age of 87 on December 29, 2016.

They also shed lights on various facets of Dixit who has penned and edited more than six dozen of books while around two thousands literary creations, mostly in Nepali, are credited to him.
Vice-Chancellor Dr Ghimire commended the prominent contributions of Dixit for uplifting Nepali literature.
Dixit, whose forte was short stories and essays, had founded the Madan Puraskar Guthi as well as Madan Puraskar Pustakalaya.
Speaking on today's condolence assembly, Prof Dr Kumar Koirala mentioned that Dixit had significantly contributed for the uplift of education sector besides Nepali literature. RSS
