National Assembly endorses condolence motion on demise of Rahman

KATHMANDU, Feb 27: The National Assembly (NA) has unanimously passed a condolence proposal on the demise of Janata Samajwadi Party lawmaker Shahnaz Rahman.

KATHMANDU, Feb 27: The National Assembly (NA) has unanimously passed a condolence proposal on the demise of Janata Samajwadi Party lawmaker Shahnaz Rahman.



The condolence motion was proposed by the NA Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina during Sunday’s meeting. It also offered condolences to the bereaved family.

The meeting observed a minute's silence wishing her departed soul rest in peace.


Rahman, who was appointed a member of the House of Representatives through the proportional representation system under the Muslim quota, died of a heart attack on Saturday. She was 63.


The NA will next meet on February 27 at 12:31 PM.
