KATHMANDU, July 7: Madhav Sapkota, a CPN (Maoist Center) lawmaker, said the game of demolishing the government started when the government arrested Bechan Jha, accused of being involved in the fake Bhutanese refugee scam.
Hinting at CPN-UML leaders in the House of Representative (HoR) on Sunday, Sapkota said, “Those who are themselves covered in black stains of the Giri Bandhu Tea Estate scam, should not teach others a lesson of morality.”
Court remands Bechan Jha to judicial custody for investigation
“The Prime Minister and the Home Minister reopened the file of the fake Bhutanese refugee scam for the sake of good governance. Bechan Jha was arrested and many true pieces of evidence were publicly revealed,” he said, “When the evidence of Jha came out, you became restless and started noticing holes in the boat. A mouse runs away when he sees a hole in the boat, but brave hearts face them.”
He said, “How can you, who are painted with black stain of the Giri Bandhu Tea Estate case and restless with the arrest of Bechan Jha, even teach us a lesson in morality? Think about how you will wash away those stains and bring back the peace of mind you have lost following Jha’s arrest. Only then will we talk.”
