Two arrested for fraud using fake CIB emails

Manish Kumar Mehta, 20, of Sunsari and Indrajit Yadav, 21, of Rautahat were found misusing police names, ranks, and logos for fraudulent activities. CIB spokesperson Deepak Raj Awasthi stated that they were apprehended with the help of Sunsari Police.

KATHMANDU, Feb 4: Two individuals have been arrested for fraudulently using fake emails impersonating the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police.


Manish Kumar Mehta, 20, of Sunsari and Indrajit Yadav, 21, of Rautahat were found misusing police names, ranks, and logos for fraudulent activities. CIB spokesperson Deepak Raj Awasthi stated that they were apprehended with the help of Sunsari Police.

The Kathmandu District Court has extended their remand for seven days as the investigation continues.
