Speaking at a press meet at Khalanga, Salyan on Wednesday, Chand said the general convention of both parties could be one if the UCPN (Maoist) accepts the leadership of Baidya and gets ready to adopt the line of new people´s democracy.[break]
"We had decided to break away from the UCPN ( Maoist) and reconstitute a new party as the UCPN ( Maoist) has forgotten all the people´s agendas," said Chand.
Stating that consensus and collaboration among the political parties was the need of the hour, Chand said that an all-party round-table conference was a must to this end.
