As per the legal provision, any public office bearer should send an account of his property to the vigilance center within two months into the new fiscal year.
This is the second time that the anti-graft body has written to the center asking for names of army officials defaulting on the legal provision.
Earlier, replying to the CIAA, the center had stated that the NA itself could take action against officials in default.
The CIAA may impose a fine of Rs. 5,000 on any public official who fails to submit an account of his property with the stipulated time.
Meanwhile, the CIAA has started investigations into alleged irregularities over Rs 200 million at Janak Educational Materials Center Ltd, the government body entrusted with the publication of school material. The CIAA has taken the relevant files under its control.
