KATHMANDU, Aug 13: A helicopter transporting a patient from Pokhara to Kathmandu made an emergency landing in Dhading due to adverse weather conditions on Tuesday. The chopper belonging to Kailash Helicopter Services carrying an asthma patient from Pokhara's Manipal Hospital safely landed in Thakre Rural Municipality-7, Aathkilo, amid heavy rains and cloudy conditions.

Yuvraj Khatiwada, ward chair of Thakre Rural Municipality-7, said that the 9N-AML helicopter landed at an open ground. Deputy Superintendent of Police Makendra Kumar Mishra of the District Police Office, Dhading, said that the pilot chose to land in a safe area as it was too dangerous to continue flying to Kathmandu during the bad weather.
