KATHMANDU, April 25: Nepal marked Earthquake Memorial Day 2082 BS at the premises of Dharahara in Sundhara, honoring the lives lost in the 2015 earthquake.
The commemoration included a moment of silence, prayers and the lighting of candles, symbolizing remembrance and hope for those who perished during the catastrophic earthquake that struck Nepal on April 25, 2015. Attendees also paid tribute to the hundreds of lives lost.

The event also served as a reminder of Nepal's ongoing recovery, with the restored Dharahara Tower symbolizing the nation's resilience.
During the event, President Ramchandra Paudel stressed the importance of awareness and preparedness to reduce the risks of future earthquakes. He urged citizens and authorities to continue working towards strengthening Nepal's infrastructure and disaster management systems, ensuring better protection for all.
