CHITWAN, July 26: A City Hall of international standard is going to be constructed at Bharatpur in Chitwan district.
The Bharatpur Metropolitan City is to construct the well-equipped auditorium which could accommodate as many as 5,000 audiences. The City Hall will also have other small auditorium, food court, garden and parking spaces.
The Ministry of the Urban Development has already allocated budget for the construction of the same, shared Bharatpur Metropolitan City's Mayor, Renu Dahal.
Mayor Dahal shared that the City Hall would be constructed at the estimated cost of Rs 500 million and in the five bigaha of land of the Ministry of Health., which is being used by the BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital.
The construction work would start once the land comes under the name of the City Hall for which preparation was underway to present the matter in the meeting of the Council of Ministers.
"As we acquire the land, the soil testing would be forwarded and map of the building would take place," said Dahal, claiming the City Hall to be the firs-of-its-kind auditorium in the country. RSS
