CHITWAN, May 29: Nepali Congress, Chitwan, has demanded re-voting at ward no 19 of Bharatpur Metropolitan City. Ballot papers of ward no 19 were torn down on Sunday midnight by CPN (Maoist Center) cadres.
Issuing a press release after the meeting, NC, Chitwan, demanded re-polling as per the Clause 49 and 50 of the Election Act-2073.
The press release issued by NC District President Jit Narayan Shrestha condemned the incident that took place in course of vote counting and demanded to carry out investigation into the case, and action against the guilty.
The party drew the conclusion that the incident took place as vote counting was not made systematic even after frequent request for the same. RSS
