BIRATNAGAR, June 30: Nepali Congress mayoral candidate Bhim Parajuli is taking the lead with 216 votes, compared to 152 votes garnered by CPN-UML mayoral candidate Binod Dhakal.
470 votes have been counted so far.
Likewise, Nepali Congress deputy mayoral candidate Indira Karki is taking the lead with 171 votes while Nepal Democratic Forum deputy mayoral candidate Suchi Chaudhari has secured 85 votes.
Likewise, CPN(Maoist Center) deputy mayoral candidate Namita Neupane has garnered 76 votes.
Vote count is underway in Ward-1. There are 19 wards in Biratnagar Metropolitanc City.
