BIRENDRANAGAR, April 2: Chief Justice Kalyan Shrestha has expressed dissatisfaction over the ordinance the government brought to cancel the appellate courts.

He said to media, "I don’t make any comment. You can ask the government and political parties about it."

After inspecting the Appellate Court, Surkhet, Chief Justice Shrestha said, "Time has not come for me to make comment on government's activity on the ordinance."

Responding to a query, he however said he won't let any space for politics in the judiciary. "We don't entertain political influence in judiciary at all."

Moreover, the Chief Justice said it was not the judiciary's concern to speak on the people recommended for the judge in Supreme Court.

He admitted that judiciary was lacking judges. However, the appointment was not possible immediately. RSS
